Stormy days
I love the stormy season the most because it means a few days off school. But getting to school in that massive rain and wind is brutal. Some days, teachers wouldn't show up, and the whole class would buzz with excitement—chatting nonstop, everyone secretly hoping for a holiday. Those were such awesome times. When the announcement finally came that we were off, everyone erupted in cheers. Back home, though, it's no playtime; we had to secure the house against the storm. Once, the roof got ripped off, tiles crashing down, so the whole family donned helmets, huddled in a room, getting drenched by splashing rain while water seeped in, staining the walls yellow. But hey, the real joy is getting that break—worth it all!
